How to configure attributes, metrics, and grouping for your assortment plan views

Updated over a week ago

Overview

Toolio allows you to easily customize Views for your Assortment Plans. Out of the box, your Assortment Plan module will come pre-configured with useful views that can be easily customized to fit your specific needs.

Please see below for how to configure attributes, metrics, and grouping, as well as how to add/delete/save views. Configuring views properly is an integral step of importing existing line plans into Toolio, which we have covered in greater depth here.

See it in action below:

After selecting an Assortment Plan, you can access your Views. Your Assortment Plan views are configured very similarly to Merchandise Plan views.

You can easily select any attributes or metrics you would like displayed through the Select Attributes and Select Metrics menus, respectively:

Please note that the order of these attributes and metrics can be adjusted by directly dragging the columns. Just like in the Merchandise Plan module, you can also filter and group by any attributes you would like. Please read more about Grouping & Dynamic Hierarchy.

Separately, you will find a Compare feature in Assortment Plan. This enables the Hindsight function which displays historical actuals for you to reference. You will be prompted to select a Time Frame, or to dictate a Custom Range for your comparison. You can read more about using Hindsight comparison here.

Once your view is configured fully to your liking, please make sure to save your changes. Just like in the Merchandise Plan module, you can accomplish this by View > View Options > Save.

You can also rename your view, set it as the default view, or delete the view from this menu. In the instance that you would like to create a new view, please select Clone to create a copy of your existing view, which can then be configured and saved after your customizations.
