Overview
The Gallery View in Assortment Plan Reporting lets you turn standard report data into a more visual, image-based layout. It is useful for reviewing product choices, comparing performance across time periods, and customizing which metrics appear beneath each product image.
When you first open Assortment Plan Reporting, you begin in Grid View, which is the standard reporting format. From there, you can switch to Gallery View to see the same type of reporting information displayed visually.
Keep in mind that Gallery View and Grid View use separate saved views. If you want a similar setup in both formats, you will need to create and save each view separately.
Access Gallery View
Open Assortment Plan Reporting.
Start in the default Grid View.
Select a Gallery View option to switch from the grid into the visual layout.
What You See in Gallery View
In Gallery View, product choices are displayed visually, typically grouped by selected dimensions such as Class.
You can drill into the view to see all choices included in the report in a more visual format.
Use Compare Mode
Compare Mode lets you analyze one time period against another side by side.
When enabled, the screen splits into two sections:
The right side is driven by the filters currently selected in the upper-left area of the screen.
The left side shows the comparison period defined using the date selection next to the Compare button.
Example use case
You can compare a period such as Black Friday/Cyber Monday 2025 against the same timeframe in 2024 to understand what drove business performance year over year.
Switch Between Gallery Layouts
Gallery View includes multiple display formats.
Gallery Dense View
Use Gallery Dense View when you want to fit more product images into a smaller space. This layout is more compact and works well when reviewing many items at once.
Regular Gallery View
The regular Gallery View displays the same information as Gallery Dense View, but with a more expanded layout. This makes the images and content appear more spread out on the screen.
