Once the Toolio Overlay is installed and you are signed in (see Getting Started with the Toolio Overlay), this article covers everything it does: the Product Stats panel on a product page, the chips and sorting on a collection page, the settings, and how to jump into the full view in Toolio.
The Product Stats Panel
On a product detail page, open the overlay by clicking the Toolio tab on the edge of the page or the pinned Toolio icon. A Product Stats panel docks alongside the page with that product's recent performance from your Assortment Plan. The header shows the product name and, just under it, the Style No and Color No so you always know exactly which record you are looking at.
Style vs Color
At the top of the panel is a Style / Color toggle. Style rolls the numbers up across every color of the product. Color narrows them to the single color currently shown on the page. At color level a row of color chips lets you jump between the style's colors, and the panel follows the swatch selected on the storefront automatically.
Metric Tiles
Each tile is calculated from your Assortment Plan actuals and scoped to the current Style or Color view.
Metric | What it shows |
Units sold in the most recent completed fiscal week, with the change versus the prior week.
Units sold over the last 4 completed weeks, with the change versus the prior 4 weeks.
A sparkline of weekly units sold over the last 8 weeks.
Average unit retail.
Markdown plus discount as a share of gross sales retail.
Returned units as a share of units sold, over the last 4 weeks.
The next expected delivery date.
Current inventory units in stock.
Units inbound.
On hand divided by average weekly sales (last 4 weeks), color-coded for health.
Weeks of supply is color-coded so you can judge inventory health at a glance: red (0 to 5 weeks) is understocked, green (6 to 15 weeks) is healthy cover, and yellow (more than 15 weeks) is overstocked.
First and Last Sale
Under the header, the panel shows the product's First sale and Last sale dates, from the same source as the Product Summary page in Toolio, so you can see how long it has been selling.
Size Curve
The Size Curve table shows how the product sells by size, smallest to largest: last 4 weeks units (L4W), on hand (OH), each size's share of the last-4-weeks and on-hand totals (L4W %, OH %), and weeks of supply (WOS), plus a total row. It is collapsible, remembers whether you left it open or closed, and works at both Style and Color level.
Chips on Collection Pages
On a collection or search grid, the overlay adds a compact chip to every product card so you can scan the whole page at once.
Each chip shows a small set of metrics as stat columns: a short code (for example LW, L4W, OH, WOS), the value, and, for sales, the trend. Hover a metric to see its full name and value. A thin colored bar on the left, the chip status, gives an at-a-glance health read (weeks of supply by default). Click any chip to open that product's full Product Stats panel.
Sorting the Grid
Use Sort products by in settings to reorder the product cards in place by any Toolio metric, then set the direction (High → Low or Low → High). Choose Featured (page order) to restore the site's original order. Products with no Toolio data sort last. Sorting only reorders your own browser view; it does not change the site for shoppers.
Configuring the Overlay
Open Settings from the gear icon. Your choices are saved and reused across pages and sessions.
Channelscopes every number to a sales channel (defaults to your Web or Ecommerce channel; chooseAll channelsfor the aggregate).Locationturns on store mode: pick a single store and every metric reflects just that location. Check or uncheck a metric, and drag rows (or use the arrows and send-to-top button) to reorder.Chip statussets what the colored bar on each chip reflects: weeks of supply, L4W trend, LW trend, or none.Dock sidemoves the overlay to the left or right edge. You can also drag the inner edge of the panel to resize it.
From the Overlay Into Toolio
When you want the full picture, the panel's Open in Toolio link deep-links straight to that product's Product Summary in the Toolio app, with the complete color, weekly-sales, size-curve, and by-location breakdown.
FAQs
Why does "Last week" look like it is missing the current week?
"Last week" is always the most recent completed fiscal week. The current, in-progress week is excluded because its actuals are not final yet.
Store mode shows all-locations numbers on the collection chips. Is that a bug?
Collection chips currently reflect the channel view. A selected location fully scopes the product-page Product Stats (style, color, and size curve), so open a product to see location-specific numbers.
Some cards show "No Toolio data." Why?
Those products are not in your Assortment Plan, or their page identifier did not match a Toolio product. The rest of the grid is unaffected.
Do my settings sync to other computers?
Settings are saved for the browser you set them in. Set them again on another computer or browser if you use more than one.
