Conversation sharing lets you hand a colleague a link to a Tooli conversation instead of pasting screenshots into Slack. They open it and see the whole thread — your questions, Tooli's answers, the tools it ran, and any charts or grids it produced — without being able to change anything.
Sharing is read-only in both directions: the person you share with can read the conversation but cannot reply to it, and nothing they do affects your copy.

Sharing a Conversation
Open the conversation you want to share.
Click the share icon in the chat header.
Choose who can open it. The link is created and copied to your clipboard in the same click.
Paste it wherever you need it.
There is no Save or Done step — your choice applies as soon as you make it. Close the dialog with Escape or the close button when you're finished.
Choosing Who Can Open the Link
The dialog offers three states, and a conversation is always in exactly one of them.
Keep Private
The default. Nobody else can open the conversation. If you have already shared it, choosing Keep private revokes the link immediately — anyone who still has it sees a "no longer available" notice instead of your conversation.
Anyone at Your Organization
Anyone in your Toolio account who has the link can open it. This does not make the conversation public — someone outside your organization cannot open the link even if it is forwarded to them.
Only People You Choose
Pick specific people from your organization. Only they can open the link; everyone else gets the same "no longer available" notice.
Select the names you want, then click away from the list. Your choices are applied together when you dismiss it, so picking several people sends one update rather than one per name.
💡 A conversation has one link at a time. If you switch between `Anyone at your organization` and `Only people you choose`, the link stays the same — you only need to send it once.
What the Other Person Sees
They see the conversation as a read-only page: your messages, Tooli's replies, the tool calls it made, and any files it produced, which they can download.
Two things are worth knowing before you share:
A shared conversation is live, not a snapshot. If you keep working in the conversation after sharing it, the person with the link sees the new messages too. Revoke the link if you want to stop that.
Charts, KPI cards and grids show the figures as they were produced in your conversation. They are not re-run against the reader's own data access, so what they see matches what you saw.
Revoking Access
Open the share dialog again and choose Keep private. The link stops working straight away.
If you later share the same conversation again, Toolio creates a new link. The old one stays dead, so anyone you revoked does not regain access by holding on to it.
FAQs
Can I share a conversation outside my company?
No. Every share is limited to your Toolio organization, including Anyone at your organization. Someone without a Toolio account in your organization cannot open the link.
Can the person I share with reply to Tooli in my conversation?
No. The shared view has no message box, and none of the buttons that would change the conversation. If they want to carry the work forward, they can start their own conversation.
Will they see messages I add after I share the link?
Yes — the link shows the conversation as it stands, not as it was when you shared it. Choose Keep private when you want to cut that off.
Why does a link I was sent say the conversation is no longer available?
Either the owner set it back to Keep private, or the share was scoped to specific people and you are not one of them. Ask whoever sent it to share it again.
Does sharing a conversation share my data access with the reader?
No. Sharing shows them that conversation and nothing else. It does not grant them access to any plan, view, or report they could not already open in Toolio.
