Lock Receipts Through freezes a Choice's receipts up to a date you choose. Every receipt on or before that date is held at its current value, so Generate Receipts leaves those weeks untouched and re-plans only the later dates. It works like a manual receipt override, applied in bulk from a single date.

Use Cases

Use Lock Receipts Through when a Choice's near-term receipts should stay put while later dates keep re-planning:

A core item you re-plan across seasons, so re-running Generate Receipts doesn't reshuffle the buys you've already committed for the upcoming weeks.
Receipts you've hand-shaped to hit a fabric or vendor minimum, which shouldn't drift while you wait to write the POs.

How It Works

Lock Receipts Through is a single date attribute on the Choice, with no on/off checkbox:

No date (default): receipts generate normally.
Date set: every receipt on or before that date is pinned at its current value, including zero-receipt weeks. Generate Receipts leaves them unchanged and adds none inside the window; later weeks still generate. To lock the whole Choice, set the date to the end of your plan horizon.

Setting, changing, or clearing the date automatically re-runs Generate Receipts, so the lock applies (or releases) with no manual step. It holds your Plan (Adjusted) receipts only; on-order still flows in, so a locked week's total can move if on-order changes. The lock is per Choice.

Setting Lock Receipts Through

In the Choice Plan view, find the Lock Receipts Through attribute on the Choice (add it to your view if it isn't shown).
Pick the date through which receipts should be frozen, then Save. Generate Receipts runs automatically.
For several Choices at once, select them, right-click, and use Bulk Update Choices.
To unlock, clear the date; the freed weeks re-plan automatically.

Locked Receipts in the Grid

Locked weeks show the receipt caret reading Locked (distinct from Overridden) in both the Metrics tab and Receipts Plan tab. The caret is informational only: a locked week stays editable, so you can still override it by hand if you need to.

FAQs

Can I still override a locked receipt?

Yes. A locked week stays editable, so you can override it by hand. The lock only stops Generate Receipts from recomputing it, and the Locked caret stays as a marker.

What happens when I clear the date?

Generate Receipts runs automatically and the freed weeks re-plan against current demand and on-order.

Are weeks with zero receipts frozen too?

Yes. Locking holds every week through the date at its current value, including weeks with zero receipts.
