As we covered Choice Level Planning on this article, let's dive into offering level planning in the next generation Assortment Plan.

Offering of a choice helps you to plan your choice on the cluster level. As an example, if you like to customize certain attributes for Web vs Retail vs Wholesale such as Launch/End Dates or Unit Ticket, you can do so on Offering Level planning.

Accessing Offering Level Attributes

To access offering level attributes, you need to navigate to Offering Set panel in the details section. Follow the instructions below:

  1. Click on the expand details section icon on the choice that you like to see the offering details for

  2. Then navigate to 'Offering Set' tab in the details section

Choice Offering Level Attributes

As in other modules, next generation Assortment Plan also have 'Core' attributes that are defined by Toolio by default, and you can configure more 'Custom' attributes according to your needs through the settings 'Attributes' page.

Core Choice-Offering Level Attributes include:

Number of Locations - System Attribute - Based on the Cluster Group selected, system automatically calculates number of locations per cluster included for this choice to be sold at.

Launch and End Date - User can customize the Launch and End Date for the selected choice for its each offering on cluster level. Planned Weeks is a system attribute derived from the Launch and End Date.

Unit Ticket, Unit Cost and Unit Retail - User can customize the Unit Ticket, Unit Cost and Unit Retail for the selected choice for its each offering on cluster level. Unit IMU and Margin% are system attributes derived from these three attributes.

Forecast Attributes

Calculated ROS - System Attribute - This is the output of the ROS Model which is calculated on Offering Level per cluster.

Adjusted ROS - User can adjust the Calculated ROS on clustering level as they like. In the presence of a Calculated ROS, system uses the weighted distribution among the clusters and adjust the ROS according to the user input among the clusters. Please note that, Adjusted ROS always overrides the Calculated ROS for Forecasting calculations.

Growth Rate - If you anticipate a growth or decline within your sales for the choice's launch/end date duration, then you can optionally use this attribute to define this rate on each offering level. This rate will be factored in during the forecast operation.

Managing Clusters beyond Cluster Groups

You may have a use case to customize the clusters that a specific choice will be planned for. You may still want to use your standard Cluster Group, however want to customize the clusters just for this choice. In that case, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Navigate to Offering Set panel in the details section

  2. Right click on the grid and select Manage Clusters

  3. Now the screen will show you checkboxes next to each cluster. Deselect/select clusters as you prefer

  4. Then hit Save

Once you deselect a cluster, all its attributes will be removed and the ROS model calculation and forecast will be automatically triggered for the new cluster set.
