Summary Widgets are at-a-glance tiles you can add above the Allocation Strategies grid to read the key numbers behind your strategies without scrolling through individual rows. Each widget is scoped to whatever filters are active on the grid — including the Active / Inactive toggle — so the numbers always reflect exactly what you're looking at, and they recompute automatically as you change those filters.
Widgets are off by default, so you start with a clean grid and turn on only the ones you care about.
Use Cases
Check readiness before a calculation run — how many strategies are calculated, ready to calculate, still working, or blocked.
Catch setup gaps early: strategies missing a location list, size curve, sales curve, or start date.
Spot timing risk: strategies still allocating past their end or phase-out date, or starting, ending, or phasing out soon.
See how much supply is on the table — source on-hand plus on-order units available to push, and what's inbound on POs.
Find work that's drifted from automatic: hand-tuned strategies, strategies with auto-retrend switched off, and finished strategies whose results are now stale.
Adding and Managing Widgets
Click the kebab menu (⋮) in the top-right corner of the Allocation Strategies page and choose Add Widget. The dialog lists every available widget with a short description. Check the ones you want, or use Select all to toggle them on or off together, then click Apply.
You can drag the handle on a widget to reorder it. Your selection, order, and visibility are saved with your View — so your setup persists across reloads, view switches, and shared links, and your colleagues see the same widgets when you share a View with them.
Available Widgets
All numbers respect the grid's active filters and the Active / Inactive toggle, and update as those filters change. Many widgets have clickable rows that filter the grid (see Filtering the Grid from a Widget below).
Strategy Readiness
The status mix across the set, collapsed into four readiness buckets: Calculated, Ready to Calculate, Warning / In Progress, and Blocked. The headline is the total strategy count. Blocked groups strategies that need user input, failed, or are in an unknown state.
Setup Completeness
Strategies missing a required input, counted per input, with the three largest gaps shown: no location list, no size curve, no sales curve, or no start date. Sales curve is only counted for demand types that need one (ROS and Total Sales).
Lifecycle Timeline
The headline is the number of strategies still allocating past their end or phase-out date. The breakdown shows what's starting, ending, or phasing out in the next 14 days.
Demand Source Mix
How demand is driven across the set, led by the most common demand type: Item Plan, ROS, Total Sales, or Assortment Plan.
Push Posture
The prioritization-method split — demand first vs. min presentation — and how many strategies are set to push all available supply.
Coverage
The number of distinct locations reached through the set's configured location lists.
Hand-Tuned
The share of strategies with location-level overrides, plus how many have auto-retrend switched off. Both are signals that a strategy has departed from Toolio's automatic behavior.
Supply to Allocate
The total units available to push — source on-hand plus on-order. Destination on-hand is shown for contrast, but is not part of the total.
Inbound POs
The units arriving on each choice's next scheduled purchase order, and how many choices have one.
Inactive with Inventory
Choices still holding supply — on-hand or on-order — across the scope, including those with no allocation strategy at all. Useful for finding stock that isn't being actively allocated.
Stale Results
Finished strategies (Calculated or Warning) that were edited since their last successful run, so the grid's numbers no longer match their current setup. Recompute these to refresh their results.
Filtering the Grid from a Widget
Most widgets have clickable rows in their breakdown. Clicking a row filters the grid down to the matching strategies — for example, clicking Blocked on Strategy Readiness, no size curve on Setup Completeness, or retrend off on Hand-Tuned — so you can jump straight from the summary number to the rows behind it.
Clicking a row adds its filter to the grid exactly as if you'd added it by hand, and replaces any existing filter on the same column. As with any filter change, the grid updates when you next load data. Rows that can't be expressed as a grid filter aren't clickable.
FAQs
Why are my widgets empty or showing zero?
Widgets reflect the grid's active filters and the Active / Inactive toggle. If you've filtered down to a narrow set of rows, the widgets summarize only those rows. Clear or widen your filters to see broader numbers.
Do hidden widgets slow down the page?
No. Toolio only fetches the data needed for the widgets you've turned on, so widgets you haven't added cost nothing.
Will my coworkers see the same widgets?
Yes, if they're using the same View. Widget selection and order are saved as part of the View, so a shared View carries your widget setup with it.
How do I remove a widget?
Widgets are managed only from the Add Widget dialog. Open it from the kebab menu (⋮) and uncheck the widget you want to hide, or use Select all to clear them all at once.
