How Do I Connect GoodDay to Toolio?

Connect your GoodDay ERP to Toolio through Google BigQuery to sync purchase orders, receipts, inventory, and product data.

Toolio connects to GoodDay through Google BigQuery Analytics Hub. GoodDay publishes your data to a private BigQuery listing, and Toolio subscribes to it from a Google Cloud project that Toolio owns. You don't create users, service accounts, or credentials. Toolio sets up and manages the connection once GoodDay shares your listing.

Use Cases

  • You run your business on GoodDay and want your purchase orders, receipts, and inventory in Toolio without exporting files.

  • You're moving to GoodDay from another ERP and need your Toolio feeds to follow.

  • You want GoodDay to be the source of truth for some feeds, while others (such as Sales from Shopify) keep coming from their current source.

How the Connection Works

Unlike a standard Google BigQuery integration, you don't host the data or share a key with Toolio. The connection has three parts:

  1. GoodDay publishes your data as a listing in its BigQuery Analytics Hub exchange.

  2. Toolio subscribes to that listing. This creates a linked dataset in a Toolio-owned Google Cloud project, which always shows GoodDay's live tables.

  3. Toolio's integration reads the linked dataset on a schedule and imports each table into the matching Toolio data model.

Toolio runs and pays for the queries in its own project, so nothing changes in your GoodDay or Google Cloud billing.

💡 No credentials are exchanged in this setup. If someone asks you for a BigQuery key or password for GoodDay, check with your Toolio Customer Success Manager first.

Which Data Can Come From GoodDay?

Toolio reads one GoodDay table per data model. Which feeds come from GoodDay depends on what GoodDay has turned on for your account, so confirm the list with both teams during implementation.

How To Set Up the GoodDay Integration

1. Tell Your Toolio and GoodDay Teams Which Feeds To Connect

Agree on which data models will come from GoodDay and which will stay on their current source. Your Customer Success Manager records this in your implementation plan.

2. Ask GoodDay To Share Your Listing With Toolio

Ask your GoodDay contact to:

  • Create a BigQuery Analytics Hub listing with your Toolio tables.

  • Grant Toolio the Analytics Hub Subscriber role on that listing. Your Customer Success Manager will give you the Google account or service account email to use.

  • Send the listing link to your Toolio Customer Success Manager.

3. Toolio Subscribes and Connects

Toolio subscribes to the listing, creates the linked dataset in its project, and points your integration at it. You don't need to do anything in this step. The fields Toolio fills in are listed under Configuration Details for GoodDay below.

4. Toolio Maps and Validates Your Data

Toolio maps each GoodDay column to the matching Toolio field and runs a first import. Your team then validates the results, for example by comparing open PO units and receipt totals in Toolio to GoodDay. You can follow the imports in Settings > Data Management > Integrations. See Import Status and Error Diagnostics for how to read them.

5. Daily Syncs Begin

After you sign off, the integration runs on its daily schedule. Toolio only pulls rows that changed since the last run, so each GoodDay table needs a date or timestamp column (such as an updated_at field). See Syncing Data and Pagination for details.

Configuration Details for GoodDay

Toolio connects to GoodDay with the standard Google BigQuery integration, set up in Settings > Data Management > Integrations > Add Integration. Every value comes straight from the BigQuery project, linked dataset, and tables that GoodDay shares, so you don't need to provide anything.

FAQs

Do I Need My Own Google Cloud Account?

No. GoodDay hosts the data and Toolio hosts the subscription. You only need to ask GoodDay to share the listing.

Can I Use GoodDay for Some Feeds and Another System for Others?

Yes. Each data model has its own integration, so you can mix sources. For example, you can bring Purchase Orders and Receipts from GoodDay while Sales and Inventory stay on Shopify.

A Feed Stopped Updating. What Should I Check?

Contact your Customer Success Manager. The most common causes are a table or column that GoodDay renamed, a table that hasn't been populated yet, or a missing date column that Toolio uses to find new rows. Toolio works with GoodDay directly to fix these.

What if GoodDay Doesn't Have a Field Toolio Needs, Such as Cost?

Toolio can fill the gap at import, for example by calculating cost as a percentage of retail price, until GoodDay adds the field. Your Customer Success Manager will agree the approach with you.
